Public affairs analyst, Jimi Disu has blamed corruption and nepotism for his lack of enthusiasm at the news that Nigeria will launch a National carrier next year.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday approved April 2022 as the official date for the commencement of the operations of much-awaited Nigeria Air.

The Minister Of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, briefing State House correspondents this development said the majority shares of 49 per cent of the Nigeria Air project will be owned by strategic equity partners, 46 per cent by Nigerians while the Federal Government will own five per cent of the shares.

But Mr Disu speaking as on the Morning Crossfire with Wemimo Adewuni believes this will not go as smooth as envisaged. He took us down memory lane to other times the government had ventured into having a national carrier.
