The plan of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu to give tax credits to employers is "absurd and outrageous."
This is the position of Kelechukwu Ogu, an analyst with SBM Intelligence.
Ogu while speaking on Hard Facts, stated that tax credit will be "a waste of money," since there is "no database" to track who the proposed tax credit will go to, the number of employers that will get a tax credit and the class of employers that get to access tax credit.
Speaking on Tinubu's plan to increase domestic manufacturing, Ogu said achieving that would simply entail making sure "that the industrial clusters have more than twenty hours of consistent power supply."
Ogu berated Buhari's government's method of implementing import substitution, which he said has largely led to the increase in food prices.
