The intricate dynamics between supervisors and their subordinates is a topic of concern for many workers, especially the impact of a boss' personality on job performance.

This was the discussion on Nigeria Info’s Sunny Side, with an attempt to figure out whether the nature and attitude of a boss should determine an employee's output.

Justice, an HR manager calling in from Umudioga, argued that employees should primarily focus on their deliverables, suggesting that personal feelings towards a boss should not overshadow professional responsibilities.

He also acknowledged the importance of a supportive and transparent work environment, and understanding a company's established structure for addressing concerns. According to Justice, employees should "escalate" any issues with a direct supervisor, if necessary, but the question is:

If you had a problem with your direct supervisor, would you feel comfortable bringing it up, or would you hesitate?
