“They should be sending their children to our public schools too, so they can equally get the same service.”

A Nigeria Info Sunny Side caller says, criticising government officials in Nigeria who often send their children to schools abroad and fail to patronise the public education system.

This was his reaction to a recent conversation which revolved around whether employees should use the products and services offered by their employers. For him, officials need to lead by example and have a stake in the local education system.

Another caller took a definitive stance where personal values align with professional commitments. He suggests that individuals should avoid working for companies whose products or services they cannot personally endorse.

A different perspective came from a caller who believes the decision might vary based on the nature of the industry and the individual products or services. He used the banking sector as an example.

One caller went further to describe as deceitful, employees who cannot promote a product or service of their employers.

An interesting narrative came from a former teacher who recounted how a PTA chairman criticised teachers for enrolling their children in other schools, arguing that it negatively impacts the brand reputation of the school they work for.
