Former lawmaker, Senator Magnus Abe has explained his decision to rejoin the All-Progressives Congress, APC.
Senator Abe who was the 2023 SDP Governorship candidate in Rivers State shared on Nigeria Info FM's Morning Crossfire that his affection for the APC, as one of its founding members, motivated his return.
He also cited local party dynamics as the reason for his initial departure. The Senator added that his return is not a threat, calling for unity and better teamwork in the party.
The APC in the state faced an internal crisis over the choice of a candidate for the 2023 governorship elections.
Addressing loyalty concerns about the leadership of the APC in Rivers State, he affirmed his loyalty would be to the leader recognised by the national exco of the party.
