Peter Obi's comments at the commissioning of the Nkpolu Oroworukwo flyover in Rivers State have continued to generate reactions.

During his address to Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, the Labour Party presidential candidate said that hc

”I will talk to my people and we will negotiate. If we leave the state for him (Wike) he will leave the centre for us. We will negotiate it.”

Friday, a caller, reacting on Hot Takes with Wemimo Adewuni, accused Obi of simply wanting the presidency and not caring about how his party performs in other elections.

According to Friday, “Obi wants to be the President of Nigeria but he doesn’t want his party to win a single governorship in a state or House of Representatives.”

Wemimo clarified that the Labour Party candidate only said that in Rivers State but Friday argued he would say the same thing when he visits another state.

Bernard another caller, was sympathetic to Obi. Politics is a game of numbers according to him.

“I think everyone should understand Obi. Look at the Labour Party in Rivers State. What are their chances of winning that (governorship) election? and Rivers State is very key," he said.
