The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has denied knowledge of any death that may have occurred during their anti-narcotics raid in the Partey area of Lagos Island.
There were reports that no fewer than five persons were reportedly killed and several others injured during the operation over the weekend.
But, NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, in a chat on Morning Crossfire, said although his men came under heavy attack from the hoodlums during the operation, all they did was retreat to a safe zone.
“The hoodlums were firing gunshots so we wouldn’t know if indeed anybody died. If indeed anybody died, not when our men were there”
