A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Surulere Constituency 1, Desmond Elliott, says he believes that the Lagos State government should make open to the public, the panel of inquiry set up to investigate the cause of the Ikoyi building collapse.
He made this position while speaking with The Discourse host, Jimi Disu on Saturday.
Disu had inquired what the lawmaker felt about the decision of the government to bar the press from the panel looking into the collapse of the 21-storey building.
Elliot in response said he trusts the Lagos State government to do what is best but also feels the panel should be open to the general public.
Meanwhile, during the interview, the Nollywood actor cum politician also answered questions on a possible governorship run in the future, failure to implement Okada ban in the state and how he feels about the public condemnation he has received recently.
