Nigerians are still reacting to the N100 million price pegged for the All Progressives Congress(APC) presidential nomination and expression of interest forms.

The APC at its 11th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, approved the total amounts for Expression of Interest/Nomination Forms for the 2023 Elections as follows:

* House of Assembly - N2,000,000
* House of Reps - N10,000,000
* Senate - N20,000,000
* Governorship - N50,000,000
* Presidential - N100,000,000

Some callers on Nigeria Info's Hard Facts were of the opinion that the prices will serve as a means to weed out unserious individuals vying for the office of the president.

Abdul believes the set prices are a means to ensure the number of individuals vying for the presidential seat is reasonable.

He however said the prices point to how expensive democracy is in the country.

Another caller, Alex, is of the view that youths aspiring for any political office, should not have it in mind to start with the biggest parties in the country but rather seek alternatives.

She added that the set prices appear to be a fund "raising ceremony."

Recall that in 2015, the APC sold the same presidential form for N25 million and four years later it was sold for N45 million.
