The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has rescued two men from drowning after their canoe capsized near the Eko Hotel and Suites section of the Eko Atlantic Ocean.
The Service said the incident occurred around 9:15 am on Friday.
It responded from the Oba Oniru Fire Station and saved the men in coordination with other emergency responders and a private boat crew.
The survivors, identified as 20-year-old Sanu Dewan and 40-year-old Seraphin Meto, were on a journey from Makoko, Ebute-Meta when their boat turned over.
A statement from Adeseye Margaret, the director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service said the victims were in stable conditions.
