The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Enugu State has upheld the election of Governor Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The three-man panel of the tribunal dismissed the petition of the Labour Party and its candidate, Chijioke Edeoga, who alleged Governor Mbah submitted a forged NYSC discharge certificate to INEC.
The tribunal ruled that the certificate was not a qualification to contest a governorship election in Nigeria.
