
Top Nigerian bankers, finance and fintech operators, industry leaders, regulators, policymakers, and academics will gather in London from April 24 to 26 for the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria’s 2025 London International Banking and Finance Conference.
Themed “Enhancing Forex Liquidity Through Export Diversification: The Role of the Banking Sector,” the three-day conference will feature sessions and training on efficient export financing, corporate governance, artificial intelligence in financial services, digital risks and opportunities in banking.
It will also feature a bank CEO’s roundtable.
According to a statement from the CIBN, the bi-annual knowledge-sharing, thought-leadership, and solution-based forum provides a “platform for industry practitioners and thought leaders to share experiences, exchange ideas, and proffer pragmatic insights on contemporary issues affecting the sector and the broader economy.”
“It is poised to make history as one of the largest gatherings of banking professionals in the United Kingdom and globally,” the CIBN added.
The confirmed speakers include:
- Mrs. Nonye Ayeni, HCIB, the Executive Director/CEO of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC).
- Dr. Ken Opara, Ph.D, FCIB, the immediate Past President of CIBN & an Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc.
- Mr. Babatunde Olofin, the MD/CEO of Moniepoint Microfinance Bank Ltd.
- Mr. Emmanuel Emefienim, CON, FCIB, the MD/CEO of Premium Trust Bank.
- Mr. Musa Haruna, HCIB, the MD/CEO of Jaiz Bank Plc.
- Mr. Abiodun Fashagba, HCIB, the MD/Head of Client Management for Middle East, Pakistan & Africa at Standard Chartered Bank DIFC.
- Mr. Olukorede Adenowo, FCIB, the Chief Executive of FBN UK.
- And Mr. Udu Ovbiagde, the MD/CEO of Zenith Bank UK.
The conference is organized by The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) in collaboration with its United Kingdom Branch and will be held at the Hilton London Canary Wharf.
