President Bola Tinubu has signed the 2023 supplementary budget of N2.17 trillion into law.
He validated the appropriation bill on Wednesday at the State House in the company of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and the Minister of Budget, Atiku Bagudu.
The National Assembly passed the supplementary budget on Thursday 2 November following the adoption of the report of the harmonized sittings of its two chambers.
The lawmakers removed the N5 billion provision for a presidential yacht after complaints by Nigerians.
The money was moved to double the N5 billion provision for President Tinubu’s university education loan fund.
