President Bola Tunubu has restated his administration's commitment to investing in water supply, electricity, and roads to lay a solid foundation for economic growth and prosperity.

The president who stated this on Thursday while commissioning the provision of engineering infrastructure to Wuye District, expressed his determination to build a nation where no one is excluded.

While admitting that Nigerians are grappling with numerous challenges that have made them lose hope in the country, he expressed optimism that the country will progress with the cooperation of all citizens.

Tinubu also commended Wike for his giant stride in the transformation of Abuja within nine months, noting that the minister has made him proud.

"We are investing in essential services such as water supply, electricity, and road network that lay the groundwork for economic growth and prosperity, to share progress and improvement in the quality of life for all residents of Abuja Capital Territory.

"With the completion of this project, we will witness a fast improvement in traffic flow within the district and the adjoining districts.

"I extend once again my heartfelt appreciation to the FCT minister for making this a realizable dream for all of us and the country as a whole. The completion of this facility will bring the security of life close to our people, making the people the central focus of our development and that is the way democracy should work," he said.

In his welcome address, FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, said the Wuye flyover interchange was initially awarded 15 years at the cost of N34 billion and later revised to N74 billion before the inception of the current administration.

"The administration made the Wuye interchange one of its priority projects because of the critical role it will play in linking Wuse to Wuye, as well as decongesting traffic around the Julius Berger roundabout," Wike added.
