A group from Taraba State has converged on the National Assembly Complex in Abuja to protest against the inclusion of Senator Sani Danladi in President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominee list.
This is happening as the screening of the nominees kicks off on Monday.
The aggrieved protesters who identify as the ‘Taraba Youth Mandate’ are asking the Senate not to go ahead with Danladi’s screening.
Kelvin Kefas, the group’s spokesman said Danladi, who is the nominee from Taraba State, was convicted ofcertificate forgery and banned from holding public office for ten years.
He said the ten-year period was yet to elapse and asked the Senate to reject Danladi’s nomination.
