The Nigeria Police Force declared British national Andrew Wynne, also known as Andrew Povich, and Nigerian citizen Lucky Obiyan wanted on Monday for allegedly conspiring to overthrow the democratically elected government of President Tinubu.

Police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi, speaking to journalists in Abuja, accused Wynne of establishing a network of sleeper cells aimed at destabilizing the nation. According to Adejobi, Wynne rented space at Labour House in Abuja, where he set up a school as a cover for his subversive activities.

"The Nigeria Police Force has initiated a thorough investigation into the activities of foreign nationals and other elements working to undermine Nigeria's democratically elected government through unconstitutional means," Adejobi stated. He added that nine suspects have already been apprehended, allegedly receiving significant financial support from foreign sources to destabilize the country.

The Police PROi further disclosed that Wynne and his local coordinator, Obiyan, have fled the country. "Since the investigation began, Andrew Wynne has escaped the country. Both he and Lucky Ehis Obiyan have been declared wanted, and an international manhunt has been launched to bring them to justice," he concluded
