The Borno State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the abduction of a judge, Haruna Mshelia, and his wife in Gujba town.
Justice Mshelia, his wife, driver, and police orderly were kidnapped on Friday 21 June as they drove from Biu town to the Borno State capital, Maiduguri.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Borno Command told Nigeria Info that the abductors are yet to be identified as of Tuesday morning.
He also said no contact has been made with the family or the police, four days after the abduction.
The Damaturu-Buratai-Biu Road, where the abduction happened, is the only road linking Borno and Yobe State, in Northeast Nigeria to the Southern part of the country.
