The FCT Administration has exempted religious organizations from the 'develop or revoke' order issued to land owners in the territory.
In September, the FCTA granted a three-month grace period for owners of 189 undeveloped plots of land in Abuja, to begin developing them or risk having their allocation papers revoked.
However, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday, announced that the administration will extend the ultimatum on religious groups since they largely depend on free-will donations for sustenance.
Wike stated this when he received the board of the National Mosque.
He explained that the order was given due to the increase in the crime rate in the territory.
He noted that uncompleted buildings and undeveloped lands have been converted into squatter settlements by criminals.
