The lawmaker representing Port Harcourt Constituency II in the House of Representatives, Chinyere Igwe says gunmen threw dynamite into the premises of his broadcast stations in Port Harcourt.
The PDP member and Atiku Abubakar supporter said the gunmen shot sporadically at Atlantic TV Network and Wish FM Tuesday night before zooming off.
In a statement he released, Mr. Igwe said no one was hurt but that windows were shattered and some transmission devices and the generator house were damaged.
He said he has informed the police about the attack.
In August last year, the lawmaker’s filling station was shut down for alleged oil bunkering.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike directed security agencies to arrest the owner of the filling station.
And earlier this week, the governor criticized those who recently met with the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku, in Abuja.
