A Federal High Court in Abuja has thrown out a suit by the Federal Government to extradite the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, to the United States of America.

In his ruling on Monday, Justice Inyang Ekwo struck out the suit filed by Abubakar Malai, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, on the ground that the application was incompetent.

The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, on behalf of the Federal Government had filed extradition charges against Kyari to pave the way for his extradition to the US to answer to fraud allegations over his involvement with internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi.
