The Supreme Court has affirmed Hyacinth Alia’s election as the governor of Benue State.
On Monday, the apex court dismissed the appeal filed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Titus Uba.
The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal and the Court of Appeal in Abuja had earlier affirmed Alia’s victory.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate won the 18 March governorship election with 473,933 votes, representing 63 percent of all the valid votes.
