Super Eagles talisman Victor Osimhen may have suffered food poisoning, as it has been confirmed he didn't travel with the rest of the team to Bouaké for Wednesday’s semifinal clash against South Africa.

The Super Eagles players and officials jetted out to Bouaké on Monday night to continue preparation for the semifinal clash but it was without the African Footballer of the Year who was said to be having abdominal pain.

According to the information provided by the media department of the NFF, Osimhen will remain at the Pullman Hotel in Abidjan to continue the recovery process with medical staff.

He will join the team in Bouaké if certified fit.

Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu, Terem Moffi of OGC Nice, and Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City may spearhead Nigeria's attack against Bafana Bafana if Osihmen is unavailable for the semifinal clash.
