The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga disclosed that the President has expressed his intention to reshuffle his cabinet, and he intends to do so.
On Wednesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Bayo Onanuga revealed this to State House correspondents during the weekly press briefing.
Onanuga said “I don’t know whether he wants to do it before October 1, but he will surely do it.
“He has not given us any timeline when he wants to do it but he will do it. He has expressed his plans, that he wants to do it.”
Speaking about the effectiveness of the current administration, Onanuga stated that during the most recent Federal Executive Council meeting, the President had instructed all of his ministers to go out and discuss the administration's operations.
He encourages them to surmount their media, television, and radio shyness and speak out about their work.
“Because the feeling out there is that the government is not doing enough and the government has been doing a lot. And it is up to them to go out there and blow their own trumpet. They should go out there and talk about what their ministries have been doing.”
Explaining further the reason for Tinubu’s decision, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital Strategy Engagement and Communications, O’tega Ogra, said it is also based on empirical evidence.
“He has said it when he was doing the retreat for the ministers that, there were going to have periodic reviews and the decisions that are extracted from those reviews will be used to make that final decision.
