It was a weekend several hundreds of people around the world will not forget in a hurry.

On Sunday, Argentina defeated defending champions, France in a thrilling final to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The match was expected to have been watched on television by more than a billion people worldwide and has been described by not a few people as the best world cup final.

A day earlier, Morocco finished in fourth place after losing to Croatia in the third-place match.

Back home, Buhari returned to Nigeria after a week, having spent time with US president, Joe Biden and African leaders at the US-Africa Summit.

Buhari, who has less than six months to remain in office, publicly declared that he has provided the Independent National Electoral Commission with all the resources needed for a successful general election in 2023 and the Pope, who could remain in office until his death, disclosed that he already signed a resignation note, in case he becomes too ill to lead.
