The Senate has held a valedictory session for the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu (Nasarawa South) and two others.
The other outgoing senators are Abubakar Kyari (Borno North) and Hassan Mohammed (Zamfara Central).
Senators Adamu and Kyari had resigned their positions following their election as the APC’s national chairman and deputy chairman (North) respectively, while Senator Mohammed quit, to become his state's deputy governor.
Until the valedictory sessions, Senator Adamu was the chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Senator Kyari was the chairman of the Committee on FCT, and Senator Mohammed was the chairman of the Committee on Ecology.
The valedictory session followed a presentation by the leader of the senate, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi.
The lawmakers subsequently took turns to eulogise their outgoing colleagues.
