The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved the immediate reinstatement of Architect Gbolahan Oki, the suspended General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA).

Architect Oki was suspended after the collapse of a 21-story building that was under construction in Ikoyi on November 1, 2021.

A statement signed by the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, said the General Manager was reinstated following his clearance by the Administrative Personnel Management Board constituted to determine the level of involvement of Lagos State government officials in the collapse.

However, the government added that the disciplinary committee is still probing the roles played by other officers.

The Head of Service has assured that the findings of the panel would be made public.
