A United Kingdom court has granted bail to Beatrice Ekweremadu, the wife of former senator, Ike Ekweremadu.
Mrs Ekweremadu and her husband were accused of plotting to traffic a homeless man from Lagos to harvest his kidney for their sick daughter in UK.
Beatrice alongside the former senator appeared at the old Bailey on Friday for a bail hearing
While the court granted her bail, her husband's request was denied.
Explaining the judgement, the common serjeant of London, Judge Richard Marks says "the position is, I have granted bail to Beatrice subject to some fairly stringent conditions, but I have refused to grant Ike bail".
