The Lagos State Police Command has officially identified Feyisayo Ogedengbe, an auxiliary nurse who injected Mohbad, as a prime suspect in the singer's death.
Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Prime Boy have also been named suspects.
In a press briefing on Friday, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, revealed that "Feyisayo Ogedengbe, acting as an auxiliary nurse, administered multiple and highly potent injections that triggered an immediate adverse reaction, ultimately resulting in the demise of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (Mohbad). She stands as the primary suspect in the homicide investigation."
Owohunwa noted that it has been established that Ogedengbe is not a qualified or registered nurse and that her illegal actions and medical negligence are believed to be directly responsible for the chain of events leading to Mohbad's passing "at 15:43 on the 12th of September, 2023."
"Ibrahim Oluwatosin Owoduni (Prime Boy) is also implicated in the chain of events leading to Mohbad's untimely death, as the injuries sustained during a physical altercation between him and Mohbad ultimately contributed to the singer's passing," he said.
"Ayobami Sodiq (Spending) is likewise deemed complicit in the homicide case for inviting Feyisayo Ogedengbe, whom he knew to be an unqualified and unregistered nurse, to administer potent medications that subsequently triggered reactions culminating in Mohbad's tragic demise."
The Lagos State Police boss further stated that Naira Marley and Sam Larry were culpable in the actions that led to Mohbad's death.
He, however, noted that the duo had a strong alibi of being out of the country at the time of the singer's death.
Evidence still shows they are culpable in threat to life, cyberstalking, and assault of the late singer, according to the police boss.
Owohunwa stated that the force would charge both men for assault on the singer during his lifetime.
