The senator representing Ondo South District, Jimoh Ibrahim, has accused Kogi State governor, Usman Ododo, and a former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, of compromising the outcome of the 20 April governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State.

Senator Ibrahim, who addressed a news conference in Abuja Wednesday morning, said the duo abruptly changed the venue of the state’s collation center without prior notice.

The accused served as the chairman and the secretary of the election committee sent by the APC to conduct the primaries.

Senator Ibrahim presented documents to journalists, which indicated that the APC primary did not take place in 15 out of the 18 local government areas in the state.

He demanded the conduct of a fresh APC governorship primary in Ondo State, alleging that the outcome of the one done on 20 April was manipulated to favor Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The federal lawmaker, a contestant in the primary, additionally accused the APC’s electoral committee of illegally allocating votes.
