The presidential candidates of all political parties have signed a second peace accord committing themselves to the peaceful conduct of the presidential election just days away.

All the candidates and the national chairmen of their parties signed the accord organised by the National Peace Committee in Abuja on Wednesday.

Some who signed the accord were Atiku Abubakar from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bola Tinubu from the All Progressive Congress (APC), Peter Obi from the Labour Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

Others are Omoyele Sowore of African Action Congress, Hamzat Al-Mustapha of Action Alliance, Sunday Adenuga of Boot Party, and the only female candidate in the race, Chichi Ojei of Allied People’s Movement (APM).

ADC's Dumebi Kachikwu, the Accord Party's Christoper Imumolen, the Action Democratic Party's Yabagi Sani, and the Zenith Labour Party's Dan Nwanyanwu also signed the agreement.

Recall that the first peace accord was signed in September 2022 at the kickoff of the campaign season.
