Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero.
The arrest reportedly took place on Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, when Ajaero was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom .
Th NLC President was scheduled to attend a Trade Union Congress (TUC) conference in the UK, set to take place today.
Recall that Ajaero has recently been on the radar of security agencies.
On Thursday, August 20, Ajaero responded to an invitation from the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Nigerian Police Force after he was invited over an investigation bordering on terrorism financing.
