2023 Presidential Election: Obi Wins Delta State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Delta State has announced the final result of the presidential election held on Saturday in the state.

INEC Collation Officer for the Presidential Election in the state, Prof. Owunari Georgewill announced the result at the state Collation Centre Asaba after the collation officers from the 25 local govt areas of the state presented their results one after the other.

Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) got 341,866 votes to emerge victorious in the state.

The People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Abubakar Atiku came second with 161,600 votes, while Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 90,183 votes.

Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples’ Party (NNPP) came fourth with 3,122 votes.

Professor Georgewill said the total number of vote cast was 654,650, while 39,309 were rejected.

Delta State had 3,225,046 registered voters out of which  667,149 were accredited for the election.
