The Obi/Datti Campaign Organisation inaugurated its campaign council Wednesday with a call for a 2023 General Election to be devoid of manipulation.
The campaign organisation will be headed by Doyin Okupe as the Director General.
Other members of the management team of the organisation are:
- Oseloka Obaze
- Yusuf Bello Maitama
- Denzel Kentebe
- Isaac Balami
- Eyitemi Taire
The campaign has six zonal officers overseeing each of Nigeria’s geopolitical zones and a state coordinator for each of the 36 states.
At the inauguration in Abuja, Mr. Okupe expressed the Labour Party’s desire for free, fair, and credible elections.
He said Nigerians were expecting nothing short of established standards by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He also alleged plans by unnamed political parties to rig the elections but said his party will stand against any effort to truncate the vote.
