#IWD18: Pressing For The Progress Of Gender Parity

The International Women’s Day 2018 campaign is driven by the findings of  World Economic Forum’s 2017 Global Gender Gap Report which states that gender parity is over 200 years away, hence the theme –  #PressforProgress. With the rise in global activism among women especially movements such as #MeToo#TimesUp, it has become imperative to push for gender parity and ensure that women are galvanized globally to stand up for their rights.

There’s a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity. A strong call to #PressforProgress. A strong call to motivate and unite people and communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.

“The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organisation but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights,” Gloria Steinem, world-renowned feminist, journalist and activist.
