The Bishop of the Diocese of Etche Anglican Communion, Reverend Okechukwu Nwala, has come to the defence of churches that allow politicians to speak during church services.
This is coming after criticisms have been directed at some churches that give politicians their platforms to make disturbing remarks during church events.
Bishop Nwala who was a guest on Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire explained that there is an existing relationship between the church and government, which allows for the church to be welcoming and not repulsive to political officeholders.
He also blamed the character flaw of some politicians in the country on the fact that they were not trained by missionary schools.
