Convener for The New Nigeria Group and 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, Mazi Sam Ohabunwa, was this week quotedas saying he would bring insecurity under control in 100 days if elected.

In a campaign message, Ohabunwa said that the food crisis in Nigeria “is so easy to resolve as it is caused by the failure of the government to make the requisite investments in harnessing the agriculture potential in the country for commercial purpose.”

Reacting on Morning Crossfire, host Wemimo Adewuni and analyst Jimi Disu didn’t seem impressed with these promises.

Disu argued that despite him being impressed with the pedigree of the candidate, saying he will end insecurity in100 days is a part of general statements.

He further encouraged him to come up with a workable plan and not turn his campaign into the “normal expletive” that is heard every election cycle.

Do you think Ohabunwa can do as he promised or are Wemimo and Jimi just being pessimistic? Let’s talk.
