Sankore was a guest on Nigeria Info FM programme, Morning Crossfire on Monday. The show was highlighting World Population Day 2021 which was marked on Sunday, July 11.
While recommending what Nigeria; Africa's largest population; should do to control its population, he said considering the fact that roughly 49-50 percent of women in Nigeria have secondary education, the government has not done enough because "the higher the educational qualification of women, the fewer children they have."
