Ex-Vice President, Nigerian Bar Association, Dr Monday Ubani has explained that although secession/ referendum is not contained in the Nigerian constitution there are international laws that cover that.
Ubani said this in a chat with Morning Crossfire host, Sheriff Quadry on Monday.
According to him, anybody seeking succession is backed by international treaties. But such actions must be done peacefully and within the laws of the country.
