Daily Digest host, Jimi Disu believes the absence of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu for 12 days, was a publicity stunt, albeit a well-planned one.
Disu made this statement while discussing Tinubu's return to Nigeria on Morning Crossfire hosted by Wemimo Adewuni
"I think that all of us fell for a publicity stunt. The Tinubu we saw yesterday looks quite okay at face value. So I believe that all the buzz around his disappearing for two weeks is to maintain public interest in him."
The radio host, however, pointed out that after the political strategy has worked, it's time for Tinubu to revamp his presidential organization, particularly his media handlers.
"This idea of his media handlers including Onanuga and Keyamo won’t help the party in the long run.
"You can’t bully people into voting for you, you have to appeal to them," he said.
Disu advised the APC Presidential candidate to hire a professional media handler, while his supporters should stop fighting and instead sell their candidate.
