Public Affairs analyst, Jimi Disu, has reacted angrily to the circumstances of the fire that engulfed many shops under the Apongbon section of the Eko Bridge.
Disu, on the Morning Crossfire with Sheriff Quadry, bemoaned the decay in Lagos State that has permitted people to trade and conduct other businesses under bridges.
The fire from the shops under the bridge also affected the Eko Bridge, which led to the Lagos State government issuing a 48-hour notice to owners and tenants of makeshift and containerized shops under bridges across the state.
Disu, however, does not think this will not work. He argues that as is typical, the state will not enforce this.
He, however, called for proper monitoring to ensure that this directive is followed to the letter.
