Less than a week after assuming office, the Anambra State Governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo is under scrutiny.
Public Affairs analyst, Jimi Disu, criticized Soludo for the encomiums he showered on his predecessor, Chief Willie Obiano, a man currently under investigation by the EFCC.
In a TV interview on Tuesday, the Anambra Governor, just after expressing concern about the state’s finances left in his care, called Obiano “an honourable man.”.
Soludo should have waited to find out the outcome of the EFCC’s investigation, Disu argues.
“He (Soludo) needs to understand that sometimes when you’re trying to be diplomatic, you owe allegiance first to your state and not to your party or your predecessor.
“If a man has left 300 million and is owing billions, you should be careful before calling him honourable,”he added.
