“Artists have a right to sing whatever they want to sing,” so says Nigerian artist and rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun - popularly known as Vector. The rapper was speaking with Joyce Onyemuwa on Nigeria info’s Sunny Side when a caller criticized Nigerian artists for singing immoral songs.

The singer also quipped that music consumers also “have a right not to listen” to songs they consider offensive or inappropriate.

Also questioned on lyrics that promote sex and acquisition of wealth, the philosophy major explained that the society encourages these types of content and thus made it hard for some musicians to offer anything different. He also revealed a little known fact about a certain petite Doctor.
