In the last Group C debate match-up of the ongoing 'I Beg To Differ' Tournament of Champions, Musa Nicholas emerged as the latest quarterfinalist, defeating Emmanuella Nnadi in a deciding matchup.

The topic of the debate was "Standardized Tests are Effective in Measuring a Student’s Abilities."

Emmanuella, who supported the proposition, argued that standardized tests provide consistent and comparable measurements for all students.

She also noted that standardized tests are based on expert research and assess students with a wide range of knowledge and skills.

On the other hand, Nicholas argued that the repetitive nature of some standardized tests, such as UTME, eliminates the essence of such tests.

He believes that standardized tests do not consider students' learning abilities as all students are tested the same.

He also added that standardized tests have forced students to study only to pass these tests and not to learn.

After careful deliberation, the judges declared Nicholas the winner of the debate, making him the latest quarterfinalist of the 'I Beg To Differ' Tournament of Champions.

Nicholas now joins Tanvita Koushik, Ramadan Oladipupo, Debrah Pamzat, Ruth Okorocha, and Fabian Chigbundu in the quarterfinals.

The final group stage match-up continues on Friday with Olaloye Toluwase taking Stephanie Ehi Ameh
