The National Examinations Council (NECO) says no examination has been scheduled for Saturday 9 July, the day Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Kabir (Sallah).
A statement by its Head of Information and Public Relations, Azeez Sani debunked rumours of a test fixed for that day.
Mr. Sani said NECO was conscious of the religious festival, and as a result, has given those sitting examinations a week to rest.
“The council has given a whole examination free week, beginning from July 8, to July 13, in the ongoing Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school-based candidates.
“This is to enable Muslim faithful to have enough time to celebrate the festival,” he said.
The 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school-based candidates began on 27 June and will end on 12 August.
