It was a weekend of jubilation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) as its candidate won the Ekiti State Governorship Election on Saturday.
Biodun Oyebanji polled 187,057 votes, well ahead of his closest rival, the SDP’s Segun Oni’s 82,211 votes.
Bisi Kolawole of the PDP got 67,457 votes to come in third place.
The vote was peaceful but marred by voter inducement and apathy.
Satisfied with the Ekiti State election result, the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu returned to Lagos State where he was received by the Oba of Lagos and welcomed by APC governors.
