The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reopened the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for registered voters.

This time, it will be for persons unable to collect their PVCs before 5 February 2023.

Announcing this in a statement on Tuesday,  the new National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun, said the exercise will cover Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa States where off-cycle governorship elections will be held on 11 November.

Mr. Olumekun urged voters to visit all the local government area offices in the states and other designated centers to pick up their PVCs.

The cards can be collected from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays for four weeks (11 September – 9 October 2023).

INEC implored politicians and their supporters to play by the rules and avoid heating the polity.
