The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami says N1,823,788,146.86 has been generated so far from sale of forfeited properties.
He made this known on Thursday during a ministerial scorecard of the justice sector from 2015 till date.
“In compliance with presidential mandates and foreign judicial processes, the ministry has recovered total sums of £6,324,627.66, €5,494,743.71, and $390,000,000 from various jurisdictions," he said.
According to him, some of the recovered funds are being used for the financing of critical infrastructure, including the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the Second Niger Bridge, and the Abuja-Kano Highway.
Speaking on terrorism, Malami revealed that 3,000 cases were profiled, 1,500 prosecuted and 397 convicted.
