The Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, has barred Journalists from the team’s training for two days ahead of their Saturday AFCON round-of-16 tie with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

The team will train in a closed camp on Wednesday, 24 January, and Thursday, 25 January.

This is geared toward keeping the Eagles focused and mapping out a plan to defeat Cameroon in their knockout clash that will take place at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium.

The media will, however, be allowed 15 minutes of access to the team's official training on Friday.

Nigeria and Cameroon will play each other for the eighth time in AFCON history on Saturday.

Nigeria triumphed 3-2 in a round-of-16 clash the last time both teams met at AFCON 2019.
