The terrorists who kidnapped more than 100 passengers of a train travelling from Abuja to Kaduna on 28 March have released new photographs of the abducted persons.

One of the pictures shows women and children seated on the ground while another shows men, some of whom are standing and others kneeling.

They were abducted after the train track was blown and gunshots were fired by the terrorists.

Eight passengers were killed and no fewer than 168 others have been reported as either missing or kidnapped.

The terrorists had earlier released a video of some of the captives in which two women called on the Nigerian government to rescue them.

The kidnappers have reportedly been making ransom demands of N5 million to N100 million in calls to the families of the victims.
