Hundreds of passengers were frustrated at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Monday morning as the nationwide industrial action declared by the Nigeria Labour Congress grounded commercial operations.

The passengers, who could not get to the domestic terminal, were concerned about their fate as they demanded to be briefed by airport officials.

Hours later, a senior airport staff informed the anxious passengers that there would be no flight from the airport until the NLC gave the go-ahead.

The airport became more crowded when this story was published, with more passengers trooping in.
